Yannick Erb updated the AROS port of Sqrxz 3! It’s now in sync with the latest codebase! Thanks Yannick!
Hipoonios gave Sqrxz 2 on Amiga Classic a go and here is his Longplay-Video. The game plays like butter, doesn’t it? :)
Another bunch of free minutes and the last month announced Sqrxz 3 v1.05 is tested, verified and packed for public release. Thanks Thor!
changes for devices with a screen equal or larger than 640 x 480:
* scaling options changes now take effect on the fly and do not require a restart (Thanks Yannick!)
* new scale options: bilinear antialias and scanlines (Thanks Yannick!)

* Frank Wille (Assembler recoding)

* Virgile Metier (Graphics adjustment to meet the Amiga limitations)
* Shahzad Sahaib (Project Management & Leveldesign)
We divided 50 floppy disks of Sqrxz 2 amongst the visitors and 17 floppy disks of Sqrxz 1, which makes a total of 67 floppy disks. Our Retroguru table with an Amiga 500 (provided by Mark!) allowed everyone to test the game live. Most people failed within the first three screens, but this was to be expected. Interestingly a very young girl managed to play past the half of the first level, which was hardly achieved by any other player.
Next possibility to catch a real floppy disk with the game is tUM 2012.
Feedback and donations are welcome anytime :) Please kindly understand that it’s not possible for us to send out the game on floppy disk via snail mail. It just eats too much money and time.
We are happy to announce Sqrxz Amiga OCS v1.2 – please go ahead and find it in our download section!
As many people mentioned the wish to play with a gamepad, Frank Wille spend a lot of efforts to make this possible. Furthermore we now offer a CDTV/CD32 image of the game.
Look forward for the release of Sqrxz 2 Amiga OCS v1.0 next week!

Release of Sqrxz 2 Amiga OCS @ 4. Retrobörse in Vienna – 8. December 2012! Game will be presented live on an Amiga 500 and free floppies will be given away to visitors. We only come with a limited supply of floppy disks!
Good evening everyone,
Please kindly note that Sqrxz for Amiga OCS/ECS has been updated. We are now on Version 1.1 which comes with improved scrolling and improved music player. Along with this, there is a HD installable download too! A CDTV/CD32 version will follow soon as we need to update it, to be in sync with the latest release.
Thanks for the update Frank!
We’ve been at Demodays 2012 and released Sqrxz for Amiga OCS. Yes, for the good old original Amiga’s and on good old floppy disks. The game has been tested on Amiga 500 but also works without problems on AGA Amiga’s such the Amiga 1200.
Frank Wille, our Amiga OCS guy, sent out 40 floppy disks with the game. Shahzad Sahaib, our project manager, brought 31 floppy disks to the event. 11 floppy disks were sent out for marketing reasons. So as of now there are 82 floppy disks circulating. We will upload an official image within the next two weeks.
We plan to release more floppy disks, depending on the feedback we get. If everything goes smart, we will announce here and on our Facebook page, on which events (demoparty or event with retro topic) you can pick up your personal copy. Donations are welcome, but not necessary.

Sqrxz and his girlfriend were on a romantic adventure journey in a jungle somewhere here on our planet. All of a sudden Yve gets kidnapped by an evil power and Sqrxz is forced to collect dozens of shiny little rings to free her. The old ruins he has to explore are anything else than safe. Traps are spread all over the place… and… Sqrxz is not alone!
